OLD BUSINESS:

YLRA Newsletter will be issued the week of February 10, 2019, all articles must be submitted by February 9, 2019.

On 11-10-18 Board meeting discussion occurred to replace the YLRA dock on Yellow Lake. Kent Warner looked into this replacement and learned that it would be more cost effective to make repairs VS replacement of the dock. Motion made by Jim Buhil and seconded by Marie King to replace the decking and wheels on this dock, motion passed.

NEW BUSINESS:

2007, $1,500 was raised by a YLRA raffle for the reconstruction of the Narrows bridge between Big and Little Yellow lakes. In addition, $5,000 was pledged to Union Township at that time for a total of $6,500. No check was issued as this project was never started. Motion made by Marie King and seconded by Dawn Schnickel to donate $10,000 to Union Township towards the reconstruction of the Narrows bridge between Big and Little Yellow Lakes, to address long standing safety concerns. This motion is in replacement and not in addition to the 2007 $6,500 pledge. Motion passed, and verification letter will be sent to Union Township by President Kent Warner.

COMMITTESS:

Water Quality – We have received 3 Zebra Mussel traps. These traps will be placed in Big Yellow in the spring to monitor any invasive Zebra Mussel population.

Meat Raffle – Yellow Lake Lodge will be giving away 3 hams during the 12-15 and 12-21-18 meat raffles

Membership – Discussion on purchasing of canopy’s for YLRA use for this and other events. There will be some added events including a dunk tank, and a presentation by the U of M Raptor Center.

Respectfully Submitted,

Robert Schnickel, Secretary.
