Secretary’s Report: Reports submitted. Motion to approve by Jim, 2nd by Dave, motion approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Marie is working on end of year, she will have the report ready for the next meeting.
We will table it until then.
Old Business:
• Meat Raffle: More people needed to sign up. Marie has someone for the next two weeks, but we
will need people for the next seven weeks. Deb will post on Face book and Mary will post on our
website.
• Newsletter: Deb has completed her articles and updates on the Governor’s Fishing Opener. We
are asking for more volunteers- they will be sent Deb’s direction. Mary is adding the Sponsorship
opportunity packet to the end of the newsletter. It contains so much information and gives families
and business’s an opportunity to be part of this historic event. Marie will then have it printed. We
will Mail and Publish it on the website in February.
• Mary set up PAYPAL payment online for YLRA Membership dues. Membership payments online
(new and renewals) now automatically deposit into the YLRA checking account on the 1st and 15th
of each month. She also set up “real-time” sign-up on our website for new members. People will
have the ability to fill out the form online and pay online, all in the click of a button! Thank you,
Mary!
• Jeffries Landing: There were 7 Violations that had to be investigated. Mary will post information
on the website later in the spring. We will also gather more information on all the violations
reported trough the use of our camera system, as well as the amount of traffic each Boat Launch
sees per month and year. This information will come out after the Fishing Opener.
New Business:
• Governor’s Fishing Opener- Discussed what is going to happen with Boat Hosts. Boat Hosts will
be treated like the VIP’s~ they will be invited to the VIP dinner on Friday night to meet their fishing
guests, as well as partake in all of the VIP weekend perks like breakfast & lunch included, swag
bags, games and tours. Mary & Boone Docks Marine volunteered to be a VIP fishing opener host
with 4 or more pontoons. Deb & Blake Also Volunteered a Pontoon on the lake as a Host Boat.
We will need at lease 20 Boats, preferably pontoons.
• Sponsorship levels were discussed, including the costs and benefits. We decided to be a full
Sponsor at the Walleye Level. Mary made a motion to spend $1500 on the Sponsorship, Mike 2nd,
motion passed.
• Swag Bag Items for the Swag Bags given to all the VIP’s at the VIP Dinner. We will add a YLRA
floatie keychain, a can koozie, and a business card. We will need at least 200 of each. W are
also ordering Wind shirt pullovers for all of the Boat Hosts to wear for the event. Mary made a
motion that we are able to spend up to ,but not over, $5,000 on promotional items for the event.
Mark 2nd, the motion passed.
• The next YLRA board meeting is February 11, 2023 at the 10th Hole at 8:00 am.

Old Business:
• Meat Raffle: More people needed to sign up. It was decided we should continue to have
the December 23rd raffle, this will be covered by board members.
• Training Session: Jim will look into setting up training session for meat raffle
• Wisconsin Lakes and Rivers Convention (Stevens Point, April 10-12): Marie made a
motion to allow 3 members to attend, Motion approved. Ron, Ryan, and Dave will
attend.
• Water Level: Current level 929.33, needs to be at 928.9 for winter months.
• Jefferies Landing : Camera is still operative however the speaker was disconnected,
speaker will be reconnected per Marie.
• Ron and Jim met with RWE (Renewable World Energy) and reviewed April-November
Lake levels. Nominal goal is 929.7 - in September it was at 930.44 (8" rain) - 930.0 is
normal high water mark.
• Jim responded to questions from Mud Hen Lake Association regarding YLRA landing
procedures/policies. Copies available
• Clothing: Discussion on how to sell - Clothing will be on display and for sale during the
November 25th meat raffle. Ryan will bring portable fish house for sales. Dave suggested
ordering some stocking hats with YLRA logo - Marie will look into this.
New Business:
• Summer Picnic - June 8th. Ron will talk to White Tail about possibly holding meeting
there.
• Fall Picnic - Sat. September 14th - Jim suggested the Fort, Marie will check with the Fort
on holding the meeting there. (75 - 80)
• Mark noted - Oakland township wants to eliminate ties with the boat landing. If we
assume responsibility for entire landing insurance would be required.
• Governors Fishing Opener (Friday May 3 - Sat. May 4th): Chuck presented scheduled
plans, VIP Dinner the Friday night before opener at Zhasagiins Event Center in Siren.
Family fishing day on Crooked Lake on Sat. The REC will be having breakfast on Sat.
(serving breakfast tacos). Looking for hosts to take Media on the lake, also looking for
Sponsorships - more to follow.
• Power Loading: Burnett County passed an ordinance of No Power Loading. Burnett
County Lakes & Rivers Association is buying signs displaying ordinance. Signs to be posted
at landings, Jim will look into getting signs with Bob Baker.
• Water Testing: Ryan contacted Dan McQuinn on water testing - this is a private testing
lab. This sounds similar to what we are doing now for testing through the DNR at no
cost. We will continue to use our established system.
• Ryan suggested using the Face Book Web Site for "Friends of Yellow Lake" group for more
exposure. We will look further into this idea.
• No Meeting in December

New Business:
1) Meat Raffle: We need to fill spots for the rest of the summer & fall. Deb will work on filling the schedule at the
Fall Members Meeting & Picnic.
2) Newsletter: Deb completed and forwarded it to Marie and Mary to check and print for August 2023. It will be
printed this week. Fall Picnic, Members Meeting & Election information will be included.
3) Fall Members Meeting, Picnic & Elections: We will not need to bring a microphone, the Rec will provide the mic,
tables for sign in, Membership sign-up/dues, and Swag. Mike updated the Swag inventory and will get it to the
Picnic. We will sell everything at our cost. Ed Collova and Nick Newton will not be running for Board or Alternate
positions this year. The Speaker will be Dave Ferris with Burnett Cty Land Services, speaking about water shed
and soil erosion. Costs for taco bar, hard & soft shells, chips, queso, salsa & fixings, plus 2 drinks (liquor, pop, or
water) discussed. Motion to approve $15pp including drink cost for approximately 135 people by Marie, 2 nd
Dave, motion approved. Deb will make any signs needed and will visit tables to ask for Meat Raffle Volunteers.

4) Deb posted “Picnic, Membership Meeting & Elections Invite” and “Invitation to Run for Board Positions” on
Facebook. Mary will post on our website. We have had two people interested so far. Deb will gather their info.
5) Fish Cribs—Mike and Dave met with and observed Devil’s Lake Board people put together and install a few cribs.
They will ask about permitting and costs later today.
6) Jeffrey’s Landing—The power to the camera and recording isn’t working, possibly due to solar panel removal.
Dave will call Polk-Burnett to find out when we can get power back there. Will advise.
Old Business:
1) Contamination Stations: Dave purchased more bleach. Marie asked If the guys could wipe off camera lenses
when needed.
2) The first Officers Meeting was suggested for September 15th at 6pm at the Bunkhouse Bar at Mike Singer’s house.
Motion to approve by Deb, 2nd Marie, motion approved.
3) Water Level— Jim shared 929.78, the rain has helped!
4) Water Testing—Ron said clarity is still pretty good, starting to green a little bit. He is testing and sending it in on
Monday.
